We are a community garden group in the process of establishing a community garden in the centre of Rockdale, NSW.
New members very welcome - experienced gardeners or total novices.
We are welcoming…
to gardeners, non-gardeners, members, friends (and furry friends) to spend time in the garden, enjoy the space and join our community.
We are accessible...
to all, including people with limited phyical abilities - young, old and in between. Our larger paths will be wheelchair and pram friendly.
We are safe...
and respectful of others. We encourage members, and friends to help and support each other; use tools and equipment safely, and store it cleanly and tidily, locking the shed behind you.
We are sustainable...
by composting responsibly, removing non-organic waste to be disposed of appropriately, and being water-wise.
We are mindful...
of creating a peaceful and relaxing space to relieve stress; and reaping the health and well-being benefits that gardening can bring.
We are a community...
of like-minded locals. We encourage members to participate actively in the working bees to enable us to enjoy the garden together.
